Taking steps to raise epilepsy awareness

Join ESWO for the 10th Annual Seize the Day Event!

On Sunday, September 24, 2023, Epilepsy Southwestern Ontario (ESWO) will host its 10th Annual Seize the Day 5k Run / 2.5k Walk at the Graham Family Eco Park to raise funds to provide support and educational services for people living with epilepsy, their families and their communities throughout Southwestern Ontario.

This year we are hosting a party-theme to celebrate the 10th anniversary of this event! We encourage you to join us in-person or virtually wearing your best party costume!

This family fun event will include a run and walk, followed by a BBQ. Start time: 10:30am.
If you’re unable to join us in London, visit our Windsor page, or consider joining us virtually by walking/running September 22-24, 2023.

Whether you are participating to honour someone you sadly lost to a seizure, supporting those affected by epilepsy, or want to help raise awareness, we invite you to join us for this special occasion. If you are a marathon runner, a leisurely jogger, or a causal walker… everyone is welcome to participate! We hope you can join us and help make this annual event even bigger this year to show people living with epilepsy that they are not alone! Let’s make every step count.

Unable to join us in person? Join us for a Virtual Run/Walk

What is a Virtual Run/Walk?

A virtual run is a race that can be run (walked or in a wheelchair/stroller) from any location you choose. You get to create your own route, participate at your own pace and time it yourself (if you so desire). You have from September 22-24 to complete your 2.5 or 5K.

If you’re looking for suggested routes in your community, we’ve put together a list of ideas:
