Seize the Day Your Way!

The 9th Annual Seize the Day Event Takes on Epilepsy!

On Sunday, September 25, 2022 Epilepsy Southwestern Ontario (ESWO) will host its 9th Annual Seize the Day 5k Run / 2.5k Walk at the Graham Family Eco Park to raise funds to provide support and educational services for people living with epilepsy, their families and their communities throughout Southwestern Ontario.

This family fun event will include a run and walk, followed by a BBQ. Start time: 10:30am.
If you’re unable to join us in London, visit our Windsor page, or consider joining us virtually by walking/running September 23-25, 2022. We will kick off the weekend event virtually with celebrations on Facebook Live.

Whether you are participating to honour someone you sadly lost to a seizure, supporting those affected by epilepsy, or want to help raise awareness, we invite you to join us for this special occasion. If you are a marathon runner, a leisurely jogger or a causal walker… everyone is welcomed to participate! We hope you can join us and help make this annual event even bigger this year to show people living with epilepsy that they are not alone! Let’s make every step count.

Location

Graham Family Eco Park, 15769-, 16033 Medway Rd, Arva, ON N0M 1C0

Beautiful private park located near the corner of Clarke and Medway Rd. If you require transportation, please contact [email protected] by Sept 1, 2022. Portable washrooms will be available on site.

2.5k walkers will complete two laps of the trail and 5k runners will complete four laps.

The health and safety of our participants remain our top priorities. Health regulations will be in place for all in-person events to ensure a safe environment for everybody participating.

Unable to join us in person? Join us for a Virtual Run/Walk

What is a Virtual Run/Walk?

A virtual run is a race that can be run (walked or in a wheelchair/stroller) from any location you choose. You get to create your own route, participate at your own pace and time it yourself (if you so desire). You have from September 23-25 to complete your 2.5 or 5K.

If you’re looking for suggested routes in your community, we’ve put together a list of ideas:
Suggested Routes – Trail Guide
Click on a trail to get more information; the link to the Alltrails website will show you the trail route.
