London Seize the Day 2018 Thank You

On behalf of all the staff, volunteers, Board Members and clients at ESWO, we would like to extend a heart-felt thank everyone for their contributions and continued support to our 5th Annual Seize the Day Event!

On September 30, 2018 together, over 400 participants gathered at the Graham Family Eco Park to participate in a 2.5K walk/ 5K run. Over $51,000 was raised towards ESWO’s support and education programs! We are happy to announce that this was a record year! Many new families joined the walk this year in honour or memory of someone affected by seizures & epilepsy, and we well surpassed our goal. Great job everyone!

Despite this year’s chilly weather, the event also included a community BBQ and social with a raffle and kid’s games. The event was kicked off with an introduction made by park family member, Stacey Graham, alongside ESWO’s CEO, Michelle Franklin. Guest speaker, Jayme Arts, a staff member at ESWO and a person living with epilepsy, spoke about her personal experiences, the importance of seizure education and the impact that ESWO has had on her life.
