Purple Playdate Event

March is Epilepsy Awareness Month in Canada. Epilepsy is a neurological condition that affects many Canadians and Londoners, including 1 in 100 children.

This Epilepsy Awareness Month, we are raising funds and supporting children affected by seizures, seizure disorders and epilepsy.

This month, we are hosting a community event to raise awareness about epilepsy and support two great local epilepsy organizations, Epilepsy Southwestern Ontario and the Pediatric Epilepsy Program at Children’s Hospital, London Health Sciences Centre.

The event is a ‘Purple Playdate Event’ in which families can come together, have fun and learn about epilepsy. It will be held at Byron Optimist Community Centre, 1308 Norman Ave, London, ON N6K2A3, from 10am – 2pm on March 29, 2025. The event will include door prizes, kids games, and opportunities to learn about epilepsy and seizure first aid.

Proceeds from this event will go to Purple Toque’s used to cover patients’ heads after a medical exam called electroencephalograph (EEG), and Epilepsy Education costs at Epilepsy Southwestern Ontario.

Don’t forget to WEAR PURPLE! Wear purple and be entered to win prizes!
