DESCRIPTION:On Sunday September 16\, 2018 at 10:30am\, Epilepsy Southwestern Ontario (ESWO) will host our Second Annual Seize the Day 5k Run / 2.5k Walk in Windsor! \nThe event will take place at Vollmer Culture and Recreation Complex (2121 Laurier Pkwy\, Windsor\, ON) to raise funds for epilepsy education\, support and community engagement programs for the Windsor-Essex area. This fun filled family event will include a run and walk\, followed by a community BBQ. \nThe Seize the Day 2.5k Walk & 5k Run supports individuals\, families and members of the community affected by seizure disorders and epilepsy. Whether you are walking to honour someone who passed away from a seizure\, supporting those affected by epilepsy and seizure disorders\, or want to help raise awareness\, we invite you to join us for this special occasion. Whether you run marathons\, or just enjoy the casual walk\, everyone is welcome to participate! DESCRIPTION:Join us Saturday\, September 15th\, 2018 at the Ride for Epilepsy at Pyramid Recreation Centre in St. Marys\, ON from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. \nAll proceeds will benefit Epilepsy Southwestern Ontario. \nThere will be a bouncy castle\, face painting\, static emergency service vehicle display\, Stratford police K9 demonstration\, food trucks and more fun for the family. \nThis year featuring the Junior Red Riders! \nCheck out Honda’s Junior Red Riders at the Ride for Epilepsy charity event. This event offers the JRR program in a demo style format\, 1 hour session. The cost is $40\, pre-registration is required to guarantee your child a spot. Children must be between the ages of 6-12 and must be able to ride a bicycle unassisted. JRR participants are fully geared up in safety equipment and taught the basics of dirt biking and rider safety. DESCRIPTION:On Wednesday\, May 16th from 2:00-3:30pm\, Epilepsy Southwestern Ontario will be hosting a free adult-colouring event\, coffee-shop style with music\, snacks\, and supportive discussions about living with epilepsy. Colouring has many therapeutic benefits such as reducing anxiety and creating more mindfulness.  There will also be an opportunity to create cards that will be sent to patients at University Hospital.
