Epilepsy Awareness Month Thank You

Thank you for an amazing Epilepsy Awareness Month! March 2019, our community came together to raise awareness in new and exciting ways!

Thank you to teams that participated in the #purplenation hockey movement! Over 20 teams across Southwestern Ontario wrapped their sticks in purple tape, decorated their pads or helmets to raise awareness about epilepsy.  We are a purple hockey nation!

Thank you to everyone that attended our library presentations and invited family and friends to learn about epilepsy, seizures and seizure first aid.

The #purpledoor2019 was a huge hit! Over 120 classes and workplaces decorated their doors or bulletin boards to educate others about epilepsy. We’re especially impressed with our epilepsy warriors that shared their stories with the classmates, teachers or workplaces. Winners were randomly selected from each school board and all photos can be found here.

A huge thank you to Lexi Crowe, Stacey Maola, Kennedy McGurgin, Delilah Krahn, Dekson Thibert, Owen Phelps and others who shared their epilepsy journey with us.

There were so many amazing events and campaigns during Epilepsy Awareness Month. Thank you to everyone that fundraised, volunteered or participated in one of our Epilepsy Awareness Month events.

We can’t wait for Epilepsy Awareness Month 2020!
